Time and Chance Will Happen To You (Ecc. 9:11)

To every man there comes … that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a special thing unique to him and fitted to his talent. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for the work which would be his finest hour. ~ Winston Churchill

Misfortune hits us all, at some point… no matter who we are, what we have, what we’ve accomplished etc… it’s just a matter of time and chance. Ecc. 9:11

I believe time and chance works both ways. I believe there is a time and chance — no matter who we are — for good fortune. For God’s promises and provision to come to pass.

1st we need to believe that there is such a moment. Call it a season, but it’s finer than that.

It’s a matter of witnessing how and when circumstances fall into place at just the right time, at just the right place, with just the right people. Read more about that here.

It’s about visions manifesting as promised, but in a different way than expected — and then telling everyone about it.

2nd we need to wait for it.

In the meantime, we prepare.

God has already planted in us the gifts/talents we need to fulfill our destinies.

Our task now is to grow and mature spiritually, become more like Christ, learn what it means to truly obey God, and pray for his will to come to pass — not our own.

Then we qualify, we learn how to discipline ourselves, learn to serve others, be faithful in the little things, polish our talents, learn new skills, gain experience.

We need to learn how to delay gratification for something bigger, better, and Holier to happen. We must learn enduring patience without complaint.

Are you pursuing the vision God has given you? Or are you pursuing someone else’s?

And lastly, do you know the still small voice of the Holy Spirit within, who will give you wisdom, discernment, and direct your path?

Without him, we’re lost!

Yes, there is a lot of preparation involved, and we must qualify according to God’s standards.

But along with all of this, is a GRAND opportunity scheduled to happen.

The chance you’ve been waiting for, that at times, didn’t think would happen.

But it does! Oh Gloriously it does! Num. 23:19

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9

The #1 Way To Change Your Fate

God knew you before you were born. Jer. 1:5 He had plans for you since the beginning. The plans are good, not to hurt you, but for you to prosper, and to have a hope and a future. Jer. 29:11

So how can we possibly mess that up? How can we possibly pour all that promise and anointing down the drain?

Disobedience.

Serial disobedience.

Serial disobedience is the unGodly habit of disobeying God’s rules and commands, time after time, day after day, with an unrepenting heart.

Yes, our God is a God of 2nd, 3rd, & 4th chances, but don’t PUSH it. God is known to get angry Ps. 2:12, vengeful Ps. 94:1, and PUNISH Ps. 31:23 his most beloved children.

If God’s COMMAND is NOT to do it, Child of God, don’t do it! Not NOW, not EVER!

If God’s Word commands us to LOVE others as we do our own selves, Luke 10:27 for goodness SAKES, what are WE waiting for?

Do you have IRON faith in God’s magnificent plans for you? GREAT! I’m in agreement with you.

Just keep in mind, serial disobedience changes fates, changes things. Serial disobedience shows God we don’t have what it takes after all…

Then the Lord said to Samuel, “I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” 1 Sam. 15:10–11

Now the Lord said to Samuel, “You have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel, so fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.” 1 Sam. 16:1

Let’s rebuke disobedience!

Let’s choose to be loyal and obey God respectively instead.

Obedience shows God that we truly love, and worship him. It SHOWS our unrelenting faith in him, not just in word, but in deed. James 2:26

It also shows our faithfulness in the little things, so that we can be trusted with the BIGGER ones. Luke 16:10

Heed to God’s calls, his commands, his righteousness — in the big and small things — and see his promises faithfully, and delightfully come to pass!

Don’t Be A Cinderella Step-Sister — Let The Shoe Fit!

How CLASSIC was that moment in CINDERELLA, when the two SPOILED and mean-spirited steps-sisters had their TURNS trying on Cinderella’s dainty GLASS SLIPPER, but had their FEET looking like STUFFED SAUSAGES instead?

They tried their hardest to SQUEEZE their big ol’ FLINSTONE feet into this teeny tiny thing, in hopes that they could MARRY the handsome Prince. But to no AVAIL.

They tried to MOLD and CUSTOMIZE their FOOT into SOMETHING it was not.

It was a PITIFUL sight to see for all, for it was obvious the SHOE DIDN’T FIT.

Sometimes we MEET someone we really LIKE, and try to MOLD ourselves into someone we’re NOT, just to fit that person, so we can be with them.

We compromise our Holiness, the Word of God, our GIFTS and TALENTS, and our standards to suit them.

Sister, don’t be a Cinderella step-sister!

Don’t try to MOLD yourself into someone you’re NOT, and not meant to be.

PERHAPS it’s loneliness, his charm, his influence, or companionship that you desire, and so you try to CUSTOMIZE yourself accordingly.

Maybe you’re GETTING OLDER, or experiencing OUTSIDE pressure.

Sister, don’t worry, you have a shoe that fits, a glass slipper, a man of God for you. (No matter what your shoe size). You don’t have to change your rainbow of colours, your fearfully and wonderfully made self, for anyone.

Plus, the PAINFUL blisters and a BIG Ol’ bunion ain’t worth it.

Don’t Wait On Your Future Husband To Live Your Life!

The #1 Way To Hear Clearly From The Holy Spirit

YOU may be ONE who is UNSURE about HEARING from the HOLY SPIRIT.

You are a BELIEVER, perhaps for a LONG time, baptized, serving in Ministry, prayer WARRIOR, but still to this day, you are not sure when you HEAR from the HOLY SPIRIT.

Maybe you are a BABE in Christ, and yet to understand who the Holy Spirit is — his purpose and function — and how you HEAR from HIM.

Maybe you’re not even a believer. But I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s LOOK at the following SCRIPTURE:

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. Gal. 5:17

Galatians goes on to list a RANGE of SINS, and PROCLAIMS that people who live by these WAYS will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Gal. 5:19–21

So what is the #1 Way to hear clearly from the Holy Spirit?

The #1 Way to Hear Clearly from the HOLY SPIRIT is simple, seek the things of the SPIRIT, so that you can hear the things of GOD, avoid the things of the FLESH, so that you’re not CUT OFF.

If you’ve wondered from the faith, the Holy Spirit is always ready and willing to commune with you once you’ve recommitted yourself to Christ, and Holy Living.

The Holy Spirit’s purpose is the same in us all, no one is more Anointed to hear from him than the other. Titles are irrelevant, and so is the amount of years you’ve been Saved.

Hearing Clearly from the Holy Spirit is a matter of whether you’ll let Holiness and Righteousness reign in your HEART, or SIN.

You Choose.

Giving Back To God

TITHING — giving 10% of one’s INCOME and INCREASE — was the Divine, and Holy STANDARD of GIVING BACK to GOD in the OLD Covenant. It was HOW there was ENOUGH food in his TEMPLE for HIS people. If one did not TITHE, they were CURSED. Malachi 3:9–12

HOWEVER, as PART of the OLD COVENANT that is now CANCELLED and OBSOLETE, tithing is NO LONGER mandated. Hebrews 8:13 Hebrews 10:9–10

We’re NO LONGER cursed if we DON’T tithe, as our HIGH PRIEST Jesus Christ made a one time OFFERING on the CROSS, granting us the GRACE to be made HOLY and DEBT-FREE for ALL TIME. Hebrews 8:6 Hebrews 10:10

In fact, the WORD of GOD says when we still PAY HOMAGE to the OLD LAW despite what CHRIST has DONE, we are CONDEMNED. Galatians 2:18–20.

Why DISMISS and DISRESPECT what JESUS did on the CROSS by following the OLD LAW?

Why SOW a NEW PATCH on an OLD piece of CLOTHING? Matthew 9:16

Why POUR NEW WINE into an OLD WINE SKIN? Matthew 9:17

We’re no LONGER indebted to God for TITHES –even OFFERINGS! Heb. 10:11–14

Jesus PAID it ALL. How WORTHY Is Our KING!

Some bring up Matthew 23:23, where Jesus was teaching the ISRAELITES about justice, mercy, and faith. He mentioned having these virtues in addition to tithing.

But what people fail to DISCERN and UNDERSTAND, is that JESUS had not yet been CRUCIFIED, not yet DIED, not yet RISEN on the 3rd day. There was no living in GRACE yet, although they were on the VERGE. They were still LIVING by the ACTIVE Old Covenant at that VERY TIME.

But Jesus did say, the time is COMING — indeed it is here NOW — where worshipers will WORSHIP in SPIRIT and in TRUTH John 4:23.

Make no MISTAKE, we still STRIVE for Divine, and Holy STANDARDS of giving, just in a NEW WAY.

The Apostle Paul who was hand-picked by God to PROCLAIM the Good News to the Jews, Kings, and Gentiles, NEVER taught or enforced TITHING. This is what he TAUGHT about GIVING:

Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Cor. 10–14 NLT

IF you can GIVE what you’re being ASKED to give, GIVE! If you can GIVE MORE, give MORE! If you DON’T have it, you don’t HAVE it! GIVE what you can, in PROPORTION to what you HAVE. This NEW way of GIVING is called GRACE and it is GOOD with GOD!

Guard Your Hearts! (Prov. 4:23)

We are MANDATED to guard our hearts, for out of it comes the issues, complexities, OR, the miracles and BLESSINGS of life. Proverbs 4:23

When we guard our hearts from the wrong people and situations, we can save ourselves years of stress, strain, and strife… heartache and pain… you name it.

When it comes to dating, if you’re anything like me, you’ve been with at least one guy that you knew wasn’t for you, but you stayed anyway.

Matter of fact, in the beginning, you got the signals that he wasn’t the right guy, considered leaving, but didn’t want to be alone, so you stayed.

Big Mistake.

Because eventually, you catch feelings, you get used to the intimacy and companionship, and then never in a million years, would you consider leaving….

In my case, thank God, I eventually broke free.

But some don’t. Some stay for years and years — possibly marry — and stay a slave to something that rotted and died a long time ago. I hope that isn’t you.

If it is, you can start your deliverance with Biblical Prayer, making some declarations and decrees, and submitting a Prayer Request.

If we heed to Prov. 4:23 and guard our hearts from ill-fitting people and situations from the get-go, we leave our life clear and open for the Lord to work his perfect plan and will for our lives .

Any yokes will be easy, any burdens light! Matthew 11:30

Think Like A Woman!

Well, it appears WOMEN are going to FLOCK to the WRONG BOOK this Summer.

With the latest BLOCKBUSTER release of, Think Like a Man, the screen adaptation of Steve Harvey’s book, Act Like a Lady Think Like a Man, women will be RUSHING to bookstores to FIND OUT more about Steve’s advice on HOW to get a MAN to respect, love, and marry you.

Why will women FLOCK overzealously? Because at the END of the MOVIE, all the PRETTY, likeable FEMALE characters were able to do it. Meaning, it is your classical Hollywood Chick flick.

I’m not going to lie, I saw the movie. And I enjoyed it. I had some GOOD laughs. And Michael Ealy…

Well anyway.

However this is not a case of LIFE imitating ART. In REAL life ladies, the 90 day rule to keep the COOKIE in the COOKIE JAR still ain’t gunna cut it. It’s still SIN, and won’t have God’s BLESSING on it. Unless you got married on Day 90…

In the BOOK of Corinthians, GOD says for the UNMARRIED woman and VIRGIN to put her WHOLE FOCUS on the Lord, and not on EARTHLY things. 1 Cor. 7:34

God is the one worth thinking about. No need to get all PSYCHOLOGICAL about men. No need to PSYCHOANALYZE and play MIND games. Don’t WASTE your time.

Keep your EYES and FOCUS on the LORD. His THOUGHTS are not our thoughts, and his WAYS are not our ways Isaiah 55:8, no need to write your own love story, God’s gunna WORK it out JUST FINE.

Think like a woman!

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Rom. 12:1–2

Take It Like a Woman: What If You Had to Live Single The Rest Of Your Life?

You are a SINGLE WOMAN wanting to get MARRIED. You’re are BELIEVING in God for a HUSBAND. You’ve been waiting for YEARS, trusting in God, HOPING in God to manifest this HEART’S desire. He has to do it, he must do it, or else…

Or else what?

What if we had to live SINGLE for the REST of our LIVES?

If our FAITH is SEALED in getting MARRIED one day, and we DELIGHT ourselves in the LORD, we BOTH know that WON’T happen. EVER. Ps. 37:4

But if we ABSOLUTELY had to, could we, would we, accept it? Would we still LIVE as committed and dedicated to Christ? Go all OUT for HIM? Live our BEST life? Or would we THROW in the TOWEL?

Would you live DEPRESSED? Or REJOICE in every day? Would you HARP on how LONELY you are? Or be THANKFUL for what you do have? Could you fathom this existence SISTER? Without FEAR and bitterness, but with a JOYFUL NOISE? Ps. 81:1

I believe God is looking for brave and courageous WOMEN, who can not only FATHOM this existence, but who are WILLING to live this LIFE if they had to, without complaints and REBELLION, but with faithfulness and SERVITUDE. God is looking for DAUGHTERS who will do whatever it takes to PLEASE and OBEY him. 1 Cor. 7:34 Often he is TESTING our RESOLVE.

It is a FEAR and REVERENCE that God is looking for in his SINGLE LADIES, a willingness to STORE self-desires away, LET GO, and TAKE whatever challenges God brings our way — like a WOMAN.

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. Psalm 23:1

Are You Living God’s Plans For You Or Other People’s?

It’s easy to be persuaded to live someone else’s plan for your life other than God’s.

Perhaps it’s your parents, friends, or Church circle that are INFLUENCING you towards doing something that is not what God has told you to do.

If God has given you a vision, STICK to it. Stay the Course. Stick to your Holy Spirit CONVICTION, and all that God has spoken to you about.

I recommend writing down the vision so you can pursue it with clarity, passion, and longevity. Hab. 2:2

DECREE it’s manifestation, visualize it, open your window of expectation everyday, and then operate in God’s State of Grace to see it through.

If you’re surrounded by STRONG-WILLED people that like to IMPOSE their agenda on you, but PEOPLE that love you, people that you CARE about and VALUE their opinion, PRAY for staying POWER and SUPPORT to stick to the PLAN!

REGARDLESS of what happens, regardless of all the hooing and haaing, STICK to the PLAN!

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11
