Could it be, that the bound­aries of what is defined as “a Church” has extended — being in the dig­i­tal age — to include and embrace a stand alone dig­i­tal church?

NOT a replace­ment, for we know that there is noth­ing like believ­ers phys­i­cally being in the same sanc­tu­ary wor­ship­ing God and hear­ing his Word.

But what about as a sup­ple­ment to the stan­dard tra­di­tional church?

We know that there are mil­lions around the world who either may not have access to a spirit-filled church, or gath­er­ing of other believ­ers. What then?

What if they have access to a mom and pop inter­net café, where they could use their sec­ond– hand com­puter to inter­act, wor­ship, and fel­low­ship with other believ­ers online?

We have many means of gath­er­ing together Heb. 10:25 for ser­vices online, from webi­nars, to web­casts, web con­fer­enc­ing, VoIP (voice over inter­net pro­to­col) and EMS (elec­tronic meet­ing systems).

Social media such as Face­book, Twit­ter, Skype, and Forums keep believ­ers connected.

Indeed, the dig­i­tal age is God’s PROVISION for fur­ther spread­ing the GOOD news and the NEED for the world to repent.

The Body of Christ MUST adapt to the age it is in and make use of the resources and tools that God has so gra­ciously set before us.

If we choose to remain con­ven­tional and tra­di­tional, we will miss the BOAT to a move­ment that brings the WORD of God around the world in seconds.

No longer do we NEED to be a tel­e­van­ge­list with a mega church to do this. We will miss the oppor­tu­nity to reach a pop­u­la­tion that would never step foot in the House of the Lord, yet still, are God’s CHOSEN.

Once again, I stress the dig­i­tal church is NOT a replace­ment for the House of the Lord, but just like the place of wor­ship­ing God has evolved from the Taber­na­cle of Old, to the churches planted by Apos­tle Paul, we must embrace what the church can be TODAY.

It is grace indeed, and adapt­ing to a NEW form of CHURCH shows that we can flow with the Spirit of God in what­ever way he chooses to save his anointed and lost souls.

How hard is it to tweet a scrip­ture from Canada, that is exactly what some­one in Japan needs to hear? How great is it to tune into a LIVE wor­ship ser­vice on the inter­net and hear a ser­mon that changes one’s life for good?

The dig­i­tal age is a bless­ing for God’s Holy Nation because we have more influ­ence than ever before.

The Age of the Dig­i­tal Church is here, a sign that Christ will return soon because the Word of God is spread­ing around the world rapidly, steadily, and effectively.
